About

Our mission is to contribute to healthy and secure communities through the development, promotion and delivery of exemplary behavioral healthcare services and related human services. Our objective is to provide recovery-oriented treatments and supports that extend beyond symptom improvement to help people with mental health disorders achieve success in areas that are important to them, such as connecting with friends and family, participating in gainful work activities, staying in school, and true community inclusion and integration. Our services include outpatient mental health, chemical dependency, and co-occurring disorders treatment for all ages; 24-hour crisis services; employment services; mobile interdisciplinary health outreach teams; supportive housing programs for homeless persons; domestic violence services for adults and children; veterans services; parenting support; and youth prevention and early intervention programs. Our domestic violence program is recognized as a Gold Standard program and the City of Seattle has adopted our forms and processes into their own domestic violence treatment processes.

Valley Cities Counseling and Consultation was created by citizens in the southern region of King County, Washington who wanted to establish a place for people in the community to receive mental health services. Valley Cities has grown to become a leading provider of mental health services and one of the four largest mental healthcare providers in the King County Regional Support Network serving Medicaid-eligible children and adults. We serve as a frontline healthcare safety net provider for those in the public mental health system, those who are uninsured, underinsured, historically underserved and populations with special needs. We serve an average of 7,000 people of all ages each year at our community mental health centers in Auburn, Kent, Federal Way and Renton, and through outreach programs in homes, schools, public housing, homeless and domestic violence shelters, nursing homes and senior centers.
