Mission Statement
Diveheart’s mission is to build confidence, independence, and self-esteem and to improve the quality of life in children, adults, and veterans with disabilities. By showing people what they are able to do, participants develop a "can do" spirit that helps them to see the potential in their lives.About Us
Diveheart fosters a “can do” spirit through SCUBA diving and other related activities in the zero gravity environment of inner space underwater. These programs enable individuals to face their own life challenges and to overcome barriers that, before, might have seemed insurmountable. In addition to building confidence, independence, and self-esteem, Diveheart is pioneering SCUBA THERAPY, which promotes physical therapy in a zero gravity environment, as well as capitalizing on SCUBA’s inherent hyperbaric benefits. Working with top researchers at Duke Medical Center and Johns Hopkins, Diveheart hopes to revolutionize rehabilitation for individuals of all abilities. Diveheart’s proposed “Freedom Center” Neutral Buoyancy Lab will conduct research, rehabilitation, education, and training, and it will also provide vocational opportunities for children, adults, and veterans with disabilities.Organization Mission Statements and About Us information are provided by GuideStar.
