For 56 years, KAB has engaged individuals to take an active role in grassroots sustainability. With programs embracing a broad spectrum of ages and interests, we work through an expanding network of over 1,200 local affiliates and partnering organizations to inclusively engage the public in attitudes, behaviors and activities that result in beautiful public spaces and thriving communities. Our work directly impacts over 30,000 cities and towns, creating better places to live, work, shop and play.

Each year, 4 million volunteers are mobilized by KAB’s network for cleanups, graffiti prevention and removal, recycling programs, vacant lot restoration, public art, community gardening, tree plantings, park improvements, playground restorations and more. Youth programs reach into classrooms and nontraditional learning environments. Through outreach, engagement and action, KAB encourages “pride of place” and strengthens the love for where we live.
