Seacology is a nonprofit, nongovernmental organization dedicated to preserving the environments and cultures of the world’s islands. Our locally based conservation strategy works directly with indigenous-island communities to create marine and land reserves that protect endangered species and ecosystems, uplift island communities, and promote long-term, environmental stewardship.About Us
Helping both the people and the environment on islands across the world, Seacology’s unique, win-win model protects coral reefs, rainforests, mangroves, and other vital island habitats and supports the basic needs of local island communities, such as water, education, and healthcare. To date, we have launched over 200 community-based projects in 48 countries around the world, protecting nearly two million acres of island ecosystems.Learn more about our work at www.seacology.org.
