Mission Statement
Our mission is to provide awareness of the critical importance of the first three years of life in human development, conditions which enhance the quality of infant/caregiver relationships policy, and practices which optimize the emotional development of infants.
About Us
The Texas Association for Infant Mental Health (TAIMH) is a nonprofit organization established in Texas in 1986, and we are part of a larger national network of infant mental health associations (the League of States) dedicated to improving the lives of babies through building awareness that social and emotional development begins at birth. TAIMH’s mission is to support the healthy emotional development of infants, toddlers, and their families by building awareness of the critical importance of the first three years of life, supporting conditions that enhance the quality of infant and toddler/caregiver relationships, advocating for policies and practices that support the healthy development of young children, and educating the 0-3 workforce in best practices.
