About Us

Strive for College is a national organization dedicated to alleviating the inequality in access to higher education. A unique solution to the information and guidance gaps surrounding the college application process, Strive leverages the energy, influence, and knowledge of undergraduates to guide others through the process. The work begins by recruiting undergraduate student mentors who then partner with a local, low-income high school and work with juniors and seniors at these schools to guide them through the search and selection process. Mentors help with applying to, enrolling in, and paying for four-year colleges. This model allows us to envision a strong network of Strive Chapters, producing a college bound culture in high schools across America and a national movement of young people committed to educational equity.
