Our mission is to open doors to opportunity so individuals can achieve their dreams.About Us
Southwest Key Programs is a national nonprofit operating innovative youth justice programs and schools, safe shelters for immigrant children, and workforce services impacting over 6,000 youth and families each day. Founded in 1987 by our current El Presidente, Dr. Juan Sanchez, Southwest Key employs a creative and diverse workforce of over 2,000 staff in six states.Our national headquarters is located at El Centro de Familia in Austin, Texas, home to East Austin College Prep, the East Austin Children's Promise, and our Social Enterprise Complex. Southwest Key is nationally accredited by the Council on Accreditation and ranks 4th among the Top Hispanic Nonprofits in America.
