Mission Statement

As a predominantly service-based, nonprofit organization, our primary mission is to ensure the best quality of life for those coping with MS by providing comprehensive support and educational programs. We strive to help make A Brighter Tomorrow by providing, at no charge, a wide array of nationally accessible programs and services. The scope of our services includes, but is not limited to, information for those newly diagnosed, subsidized homecare grants, peer support, grants to MS centers, and educational workshops for patients and physicians. Our priority is to serve with empathy, resourcefulness, and responsibility. We are here to listen, assist, and empower.

About Us

The MSF, a publicly funded, 501(c)(3) organization, was established in 1986. With national headquarters in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, the MSF employs the concept of utilizing a centralized location to serve the nation. By eliminating the need for branch offices, while networking with independent local grass roots organizations, we are able to maintain a more cost-effective and efficient operation while providing the highest quality of service. The MSF offers programming and support to keep them self-sufficient and their homes safe, while our educational programs heighten public awareness and promote understanding about the disease.

MSF’s nationally accessible resources assist individuals, their families, caregivers, regional support groups, and healthcare professionals. Access to programs and services is available through an informative, interactive website (www.msfocus.org) or a national, toll-free helpline (888.673.6287) staffed by caring caseworkers and volunteer peer counselors. Their priority is to serve with empathy, resourcefulness, and responsibility. All MSF assistance programs, services, information, literature, and subscriptions to publications are provided absolutely free of charge with no requirements to participate in fundraising activities or obtain membership.
