Mission Statement
Meds & Food for Kids (MFK) is dedicated to saving the lives of Haiti's malnourished children and other nutritionally vulnerable people.About Us
One in ten children in Haiti suffers from acute malnutrition. MFK seeks to combat this issue by developing, producing, and distributing highly nutritious foods, including the gold-standard Ready-to-Use Therapeutic Food (RUTF), called Medika Mamba or “peanut butter medicine” in Haitian Creole.We make our food products in Haiti, using Haitian workers, and, whenever possible, Haitian, raw materials. Through these initiatives, we aim to combine treatment of malnutrition with development of the Haitian economy, thereby addressing some of the root causes of the malnutrition: poverty and low agricultural productivity. Since 2003, MFK has saved the lives of over 30,000 children.
