Mission Statement
MAZON: A Jewish Response to Hunger is a national, 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to preventing and alleviating hunger among people of all faiths and backgrounds. MAZON serves its mission through three interrelated strategies - advocacy & education to raise awareness of hunger and its potential solutions at the local, state and national level; partnership grant-making to advance our mission in local communities across the country; and strategic initiatives to advance knowledge and capacity within the anti-hunger community.About Us
MAZON, which means “food” or “sustenance” in Hebrew, practices and promotes a holistic approach to ending hunger, recognizing the importance of providing nutritious food to those in need today and working to develop and advance long-term solutions so that no one need go hungry tomorrow.
