The Houston Parks Board creates, improves, protects, and advocates for parkland in the Greater Houston Region.
About Us
Since its inception in 1976, the Houston Parks Board has added thousands of acres of strategically located parkland to the city’s inventory and completed over $80 million in capital improvements. We are the primary nonprofit partner to the City of Houston Parks and Recreation Department for citywide parkland acquisition and capital improvements. Through acquisition and improvements, we create spaces for people to enjoy active recreation and respite from the urban environment in protected green spaces.
