About
The Dream Factory grants the dreams of critically and chronically ill children who are between the ages of 3 and 18 years and who reside in communities where our chapters are located.
Founded in 1980 in Hopkinsville, KY, The Dream Factory currently operates 38 chapters in 20 states. The second largest wish-granting organization in the country, The Dream Factory is volunteer-driven and has no employees at the chapter level. There are only four paid staff members at the National Headquarters in Louisville, KY.
Unlike other wish-granting organizations, The Dream Factory grants dreams for chronically ill children as well as for those suffering from critical illnesses. Applications are accepted from children who meet the organization’s eligibility criteria, who reside in communities where chapters are located and who have not received a dream or wish from another organization.
