A New Model to Speed the Pace and Productivity of Multiple Sclerosis Research

Our mission is to accelerate advances towards a cure for multiple sclerosis (MS).

We urgently need to know what causes or contributes to MS and rapidly turn this knowledge into an effective cure for each individual patient.

The Accelerated Cure Project for MS pursues an award-winning, innovative strategy for accelerating research. We focus on providing biomedical researchers with resources that catalyze open scientific collaboration and make it possible for them to explore their novel research ideas rapidly and cost-efficiently. We have changed the MS research paradigm by assuring, through 3000 samples in our Repository, that high-quality, biological samples from MS clinical studies are readily available. We have also created an open database, currently containing over 150 million data items, for the exchange of information amongst research groups that seek to understand the causes and mechanisms of MS to enable better treatments, cures and, ultimately, the elimination of this devastating disease.
